Update (Dec 2009): Wild West Domains still offers .com domain names for $7.29 per domain name per year, but you need to have a reseller plan in order to get the domain names. The rates listed in the cheapest domain comparison chart are based on the Wild West Domain Pro Reseller plan which costs $199.99 per year. (They also still offer a cheaper Basic Reseller plan for $99.99 per year.)

Wild West Domains is GoDaddy’s brand for reselling domain names. In other words, they are a wholeseller of domain names to other individuals and companies and do not sell domain names directly to customers at this price.  These prices are if you have a PRO Reseller plan which costs $199 per year.
